Subscriptions
- Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel any time from Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- We do not pro-rate a partial month on voluntary cancellation, because the credit allowance is granted in full at the start of the period.
Why fees are generally non-refundable
Credits become real provider costs the moment they are spent.
When you spend credits on a generation, we pay an AI provider for it immediately. That cost is not recoverable, which is why subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started and credits have been made available. We would rather explain that than hide behind "all sales final".
When we always put it right
- You were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after cancelling.
- A payment failed but you were billed anyway.
- A paid action failed before producing a result and your credits were not automatically restored.
- You were charged for a plan change you did not make.
- We terminated your paid plan without cause — we refund the unused portion.
- A feature you were actively relying on was materially reduced or removed mid-period.
Email support@obrasken.com with the date, amount, and the generation reference if relevant. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 10. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Failed generations and credits
Obrasken aims to leave your credit balance unaffected when a paid action fails before producing a result. A generation that completes but that you simply dislike is not a failure — AI output is variable, and the provider cost was incurred. Report suspected credit errors from Support with the generation reference and we will review the ledger.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback can automatically suspend account access while the dispute is open, which usually makes the problem worse than a direct refund would. We would rather just fix it.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer law. Obrasken is based in Ontario, so Ontario customers keep every right given by the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 — including its rules on cancelling certain remote agreements and on misleading representations — regardless of anything written above.
Some jurisdictions give a cooling-off period for digital purchases. Where that applies and you have not yet used the credits or the service, you may cancel for a full refund. Where you have started using it, we may reduce the refund proportionately to the extent the law allows.
