Our position
Obrasken respects intellectual property and expects users to do the same. Do not use the platform to reproduce or distribute material you do not have the right to use. We respond to properly made infringement notices and, where appropriate, remove content and act against repeat infringers.
Sending a notice
Include all six elements or we may have to come back to you.
Send notices to support@obrasken.com with the subject line "Copyright notice". Include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct URL is best.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf, and your physical or electronic signature.
How we respond
| Step | Timescale |
|---|---|
| Acknowledge your notice | Within 3 business days |
| Review and, if valid, disable access to the material | Within 10 business days |
| Notify the account holder, with a copy of the notice | At the time of removal |
| Restore material after a valid counter-notice | 10–14 business days after forwarding it, unless legal proceedings are filed |
We may redact your personal contact details when forwarding a notice, but the substance will be shared with the account holder so they can respond.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to support@obrasken.com including: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error; your name, address, and phone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of a competent court; and your signature.
Repeat infringers and misrepresentation
We maintain a repeat-infringer policy: accounts that accumulate multiple valid notices may be terminated. Separately, knowingly submitting a false notice or counter-notice can carry legal liability, including for costs and damages. Please only file if you genuinely hold or represent the rights.
Trademarks and other rights
For trademark complaints, publicity or likeness rights, or other non-copyright claims, write to support@obrasken.com describing the right you hold and the material concerned. The same review process applies.
